DUBAI // A Briton who allegedly smuggled three kg of cocaine into the UAE and tried to sell it to a police informant in a sting operation has appeared before the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance. The man and his two co-defendants pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to possession of narcotics with intent to traffic. If convicted, they could be sentenced to life in prison. Police arrested the three in late July when BD, 52, a Benin national, tried to sell the drugs to a police informant. BD said he got the drugs from SA, 41, a Ghanaian national, and JW, a 49-year-old Briton. SA allegedly told police JW had brought the drugs from the UK.
