Three arrested for drug dealing outside a Dubai mall
DUBAI // Police have arrested three men suspected of planning a drug deal involving hundreds of grams of heroin.
Officers arrested a carpenter, identified as 36-year-old RK, from an unnamed Asian country, at a bus station in Al Rifa'a on September 15 following a tip-off.
They said the Al Ain resident was under the influence of drugs when they arrested him and that he admitted to hiding a few hundred grams of heroin under the seat of a car.
He told them he was supposed to deliver the heroin to a man who he did not know by parking the car next to a Dubai shopping mall.
Police sent a team to the mall and intercepted TA, 30, and HB, both of whom are from an unnamed Arab country.
Officers said TA confessed to drug trafficking and told them the deal had been arranged through a man from abroad. He said he had been in phone contact with the man.
He also said that he intended to smuggle the drugs to another country after collecting them.
The case has been referred to the public prosecution.
