The sixth round of the Khalifa Award for Education was launched yesterday, under the title "Distinguish Yourself, You Deserve Honour".
The awards are open to all who work in education in the region. There are 11 categories including special needs, new media and education, education and community service, and educational research.
The awards were started in 2007 and replaced the Khalifa Award for Teachers.
They are held under the patronage of Sheikh Khalifa, the President.
