Strong winds causing blowing dust expected in many areas
The mercury will drop over the next few days giving residents some respite, although the weather will remain humid and hazy.
Coastal areas will see lows of 28°C and highs of 42°C, while the temperature in internal and mountainous areas is likely to dip to lows of 27°C and highs between 40°C to 41°C, according to The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.
This is a fall from Friday when temperatures climbed to 48°C in interior regions and the temperature touched 45°C in coastal areas.
The weather will be partly cloudy and blowing dust may reduce visibility for motorists.
