A man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for trafficking and raping a 13-year-old girl.

Dubai Criminal Court heard how the 49-year-old brought the teenager to the UAE from Pakistan by claiming to be her father.

Once in the country, he forced her into prostitution at a brothel he ran in the city.

The girl’s horrific abuse only came to light after one of her customers reported the man to authorities after claiming to have fallen in love with her.

“After I arrived in Dubai he [her trafficker] forced me to have sex with nearly 10 customers each day at his brothel in Bu Hail,” the victim told the court.

“The last time he raped me was just one day before his arrest.”

The court heard that one of the girl’s regular customers became so infatuated by the teenager that he asked her to marry him.

He fought with the brothel’s owner after trying to help her escape, and later reported the man to police.

“During September last year a man called us reporting a rape incident,” an officer told the hearing.

“When we went to the location he provided we discovered it was a brothel and that the teen had been forced to prostitute herself there.”

The Pakistani brothel owner was charged with human trafficking, rape and running an illegal business.

The girl’s besotted customer, 25, from Pakistan, was also charged with rape and underage sex. He was sentenced to three years in prison.

Both men were ordered to be deported after completing their prison terms.
