A man was arrested in Al Ain on suspicion of murdering an Asian worker in the Hili industrial zone.
Suspect arrested hours after Al Ain murder
Al Ain Police have arrested a man on suspicion of a murder in the Hili industrial zone.
The arrest came less than four hours after the death of the Asian worker MZ, 33, was reported.
Brigadier General Hamad Ajlan Al Amimi, director of Al Ain Police Directorate, said the killer had been motivated by "personal differences" and lured the worker to a remote spot where he stabbed him following an argument.
A member of the public found the man's body shortly afterwards. He was identified as an assistant electrical technician for a general maintenance company.
Brig Gen Al Amimi said the suspect had withdrawn all his money in preparation for fleeing the country following the death.
SSR, an Asian in his thirties, will be referred to prosecutors.
