A new education scheme was launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday.
The Dh1billion project, Mohammed bin Rashid Initiative for Smart Learning, will cover all schools over the next five years.
It will create a new learning environment in schools through "smart classes", providing pupils with a tablet PC and high speed 4G networks, according to state news agency Wam.
The initiative also calls for specialised training programs for teachers and new science curricula.
