Sheikh Mohammed to attend world's largest brainstorming summit

One thousand experts from academia, business, civil society and government will converge on Dubai tomorrow to address 80 pressing issues facing the world today, such as energy, food security and strategic issues in education and health.

DUBAI // A thousand experts from academia, business, civil society and government will gather in Dubai for a global summit tomorrow.

They will address 80 pressing issues facing the world today, such as energy, food security and strategic issues in education and health.

The three-day Summit on the Global Agenda 2012, hosted by the UAE under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, is the world's largest brainstorming meeting.

Sheikh Mohammed will attend the opening of the summit.

The event brings together members of the World Economic Forum's Network of Global Agenda Councils. They will take part in interactive workshops and sessions to provide comprehensive insights into global, industry and regional agendas.

Experts and officials from the UAE will attend to offer views and suggestions on the topics.

Participants will focus on collaborative, sustained processes that drive solutions for a greener and more socially inclusive world.
