Sheikh Mohammed's daughter marries in Dubai

Much of the world may be awaiting a certain royal wedding in May, but the UAE has pipped the Brits at the post as Dubai's ruling family saw in the New Year with a marriage celebration of their own.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, attended the marriage of his daughter Sheikha Maryam to Sheikh Suhail bin Ahmed Al Maktoum on Wednesday, Wam reported.
The ceremony was attended by a consortium of the country's rulers, as well as dignitaries, ministers and top officials from Dubai and the UAE.
Sheikh Mohammed was of course in attendance, as was Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
A video posted to social media shows the royals taking in the jubilant celebrations.
Their engagement was announced on Instagram to much fanfare in December, with well wishes pouring in from around the UAE and the world.
It was little over a year since her sister, Sheikha Latifa, married Sheikh Faisal Saud Khalid Al Qasimi.
