Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, welcomed Australia's Governor-General to Mushrif Palace on Sunday to discuss a range of regional and international developments.
The Crown Prince held talks with General Sir Peter Cosgrove, who is The Queen's representative in Australia and was previously head of the country's army.

He and Sir Peter discussed "ways to enhance cooperation and friendship ties, regional and international developments", the Crown Prince's official Twitter account stated after a reception ceremony.
The UAE is Australia's biggest trading partner in the Middle East, is home to about 25,000 Australians and about 300,000 visit the emirates each year.
Australia also has two schools in Sharjah and two universities in Dubai and daily flights to major cities in both countries.
