Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met children of fallen servicemen who have been performing exceptionally in academia on Monday.
The Crown Prince congratulated them for their excellence and distinction in scientific and academic achievement.
"I am happy to meet you today, my sons and daughters and my happiness is mixed with pride for your distinction and excellence, and your efforts to achieve honourable results," Sheikh Mohammed said.
He also expressed pride in the children's families for their support.
"A salute of thanks, appreciation and pride to the martyrs’ families, who planted in their children the love for the nation and diligence in science, as well as the determination to excel and fulfil the journey and sacrifices of their fathers," he said
The children were accompanied by their families and Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Director of the Martyrs' Families' Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court.

In attendance were Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Omar bin Zayed, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development and a number of senior officials.
