The President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed has returned to the UAE after a brief holiday abroad, the state news agency Wam has reported.

The President was staying at his private residence at Evian, on Lake Leman in eastern France.

Last week, he received Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, who wished him well on the second day of Eid Al Adha.

In July, the President also met the Ruler of Ajman, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, in France.

And during Ramadan, he received Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed, chief of the court of Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince, as well as Sheikh Omar bin Zayed and Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa, an executive council member.
