DUBAI // A video posted by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, showing an aerial view of the emirate has become a huge hit on social media.
The short 15-second video clip pans across Dubai's skyline, starting with a view of the Burj Khalifa and Sheikh Zayed Road, apparently filmed from a low flying aircraft.
Captioned with “Good morning to all this is #mydubai”, the clip has attracted almost 1,800 comments and more than 6,000 likes.
Many users took to social media to share their admiration of the video and Sheikh Hamdan, who posts under the username Faz3 on Instagram.
“This is wow Dubai,” said one Instagram user.
Another said: “I love your Dubai sir.”
Sheikh Hamdan is a frequent Instagram user, having posted almost 700 videos and pictures to date, offering a glimpse into his private life to his 715,000 followers.
Last October Sheikh Hamdan posted the footage himself on Instagram playing with a rare white tiger cub.
The clip, titled Meet my friend (Famous), was a viral hit, attracting thousands of comments.
Sheikh Hamdan is also a keen horse rider and many of the pictures and videos show him enjoying the outdoors or at various events.
The hashtag #MyDubai is very popular across all social media channels and is a campaign for people to post images of the Dubai they love.
