SHARJAH // A group of 10 Asians were arrested for selling alcohol to their compatriot labourers in the Sharjah Industrial area.
Police were tipped off about the illegal activities and a team was assembled to track and identify the group to verify reports.
After monitoring the suspects, the police were able to identify the entire gang, the places they sold alcohol and their residences. After securing proper authorisations and search warrants, they captured the suspects selling alcohol.
During interrogations, the gang members admitted to selling alcohol and told police where their storage locations were. The police searched the sites and found large quantities of different types of alcohol and large sums of money.
The men were referred to public prosecution to set a trial date.
