Sharjah Municipality has launched a website and social-media presence to provide online services to the public.
"We are undertaking a communication upgrade to help interact well with the public," said Sultan Al Mualla, the director general of Sharjah Municipality.
"Smartphones and social-media accounts like Facebook and Twitter have all been established."
The municipality also unveiled a new logo to reflect the development of the emirate and its heritage.
