Sharjah arrests illegals who did not leave during amnesty

Those arrested were found to be engaging in various illegal activities such as begging and street vending.

SHARJAH // A total of 15 people have been arrested in Sharjah as part of an ongoing campaign against illegal residents who did not leave the country during a visa amnesty earlier this year, police have said.

Those arrested were from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nigeria and India.

They were found to be engaged in various illegal activities such as begging and street vending.

Police have asked residents to report any illegal residents living or working in their neighbourhoods.
