DUBAI // Two tiny seahorses, the smallest no bigger than the size of your small fingernail, met for the first time at an aquarium in Dubai.

A short video has captured the moment that a three-month long snout seahorse, known as Hippocampus redii, met its six-month old cousin.

The seahorses were born at the Lost Chambers Aquarium, at Atlantis, the Palm.

“[They] will remain in the nursery until they are old enough to join the rest of the seahorse family in the bigger marine exhibit,” said a spokesman for Atlantis.

Visitors can see the sea creatures in a Behind the Scenes tour, for Dh75, or for Dh70 for in-house guests.
