Schools across Sharjah face safety inspections after a gate fell on an 8-year-old pupil.
The boy was taken to Al Qassimi Hospital on Monday for treatment for head injuries after the accident at Sharjah Public School.
Officials said there was a defect in one of the gate's wheels.
