Rulers send messages of goodwill to UAE

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, sent celebratory text messages to thousands of people yesterday in anticipation of today's 41st National Day celebrations.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, sent celebratory text messages to thousands of people yesterday in anticipation of today's 41st National Day celebrations.

Sheikh Mohammed congratulated the community and the President, Sheikh Khalifa, for another successful year. "We remember our founding fathers with great pride and look forward to the future with great optimism," the message said.

Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, congratulated the President, members of Supreme Council, Rulers and citizens. "We sowed yesterday but today Emirati citizens reap the harvest to achieve their aspirations."

Today is a time to reflect on the lessons learnt and the achievements made, and to realise what the UAE has attained in various sectors, said Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah.

Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, said the progress attained by the UAE reflects the cohesion between the leadership and its people. "The prudent UAE leadership is a safety valve for the country as citizens rally behind it."

Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, said the UAE had advanced its development.

"On this occasion, I think of the past and see how our aspirations preserve our heritage and legacy left behind by the founding father," he told the state news agency Wam.

Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman, said December 2 marked a paradigm shift in the country's history. "It is the day on which the will of leaders emerged to establish one country that embraces us all in dignity."
