At least seven people died and five others were injured in road accidents at the weekend.
In Ras Al Khaimah on Friday night, an Arab woman, her daughter and her sister died when their vehicle hit a lamp post. Two other sisters were injured.
Also in the emirate, a 19-year-old Emirati was killed after driving recklessly.
In Dubai, two Indian men died and three others were severely injured when their car hit a lamp post on Al Khail Road.
In Sharjah, a Pakistani lorry driver was killed when he fell asleep, swerved and hit a wall near Sharjah University.
