Red Crescent branch head dies while trying to put up UAE flag over home

The head of the UAE Red Crescent Branch in Ras Al Khaimah fell to his death while trying to put up a UAE flag over his home to celebrate National Day.

The head of the UAE Red Crescent Branch in Ras Al Khaimah fell to his death while trying to put up a UAE flag over his home to celebrate National Day, The National’s sister-paper Al Ittihad has reported.

Mohammed Zayd Al Shehi, an Emirati, was trying to raise the flag when he fell from the top of his house on Saturday afternoon, sustaining a brain haemorrhage that led to his death. 

Dr Abdullah bin Fadl Al Nuaimi, director of Saqr Hospital, said that Al Shehi was admitted to hospital with serious injuries and could not be resuscitated.

Al Shehi was known to be a philanthropist.
