DUBAI // The latest batch of students has begun training in Ras Al Khaimah to become accredited tour guides.

The eight-day course, which was open to any RAK residents who speak English and Arabic, began yesterday and is being attended by 17 students.

Students will learn general knowledge about the emirate, how to organise and control a tour group, presentation skills, customer service and first aid.

Fifteen students were accredited as RAK tour guides when the first tourism programme was held last November.
