Rain falls on Abu Dhabi
Rain fell on much of Al Gharbia and Abu Dhabi today as clouds blanketed the Emirate.
The overcast weather was the result of a low-pressure system moving east through Al Gharbia, releasing moderate to heavy rain and wind and reaching the capital late in the afternoon.
The cities of Ruwais and Ghayathi received up to 2 mm of rain and winds of up to 40 km/h.
The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology predicted the system will continue heading east.
The unstable weather is set to continue with more light to moderate rain over much of Al Gharbia tomorrow, and a 30 per cent chance of it reaching the capital once again.
Tonight and tomorrow morning are expected be sticky, with humidity reaching 85 per cent.
