UAE residents have been given a four-day weekend in celebration of the country's National Day.
The UAE cabinet announced residents will be given December 2 and 3 as a public holiday for government and private sectors.

In a statement, the cabinet extended warm greetings and best wishes on the occasion of the 47th National Day to the people of the UAE. Work will resume on Tuesday, December 4.
Sunday, November 18, is also a public holiday in the UAE, marking the Prophet Mohammed's birthday.
After the National Day weekend, January 1, 2019 will be the next public holiday.
