Police try to identify body of woman
RAS AL KHAIMAH // Forensic scientists were yesterday carrying out tests on the body of a woman washed ashore 20km south-west of Ras al Khaimah city. The decomposing body was found floating near a rock jetty at Jazirat Al Hamra by an Emirati resident, said Major Hamad al Dabany, deputy chief of investigations for Ras al Khaimah Police. It was transferred to a laboratory. Major al Dabany said the state of the body made it difficult to determine the cause of death and to identify the victim. It is thought that the woman was in her thirties.
There was no evidence of assault, fractures or injuries and there were no descriptions of missing people that matched the body. Major al Dabany added that investigations would continue to determine the identity of the woman and the circumstances surrounding her death, and urged the public to report any information that might be relevant. email@example.com
