Making today's headlines: non-oil business growth, Emirati entrepreneurs and the Liwa Date Auction
Non-oil business activity in the UAE had the strongest third quarter in two years on the back of strong growth in output and jobs, according to a key economic gauge for the second biggest Arabian Gulf economy.
Two Emirati entrepreneurs will be chosen tonight after pitching their ideas before Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, and in front of other audience members at Emirates Palace this week.
The country’s first annual Liwa Date Auction will begin tomorrow and run until October 14.
