The UAE economy is expected to grow 3.9 per cent in 2018, a senior official at the Ministry of Economy said on Tuesday. The outlook has been boosted by government efforts to diversify its income sources, including the introduction of a 5 per cent VAT.

The body of a missing 5-year-old Emirati girl was found in a drainage duct in Ajman on Monday night. The girl, named only as Amal, was reported missing by her family on Sunday after she disappeared from her backyard.
