Over teeth, over gums …

There's a slight aftertaste of chicken, which like the pure version, lingers for several minutes and is only truly dispatched by a large glass of water and some strong minty gum.

A thin layer of foam and bubbles forms at the top of the bottle of pure essence of chicken.

A slightly off-putting light brown in colour and smelling strongly of mould or rubber, the liquid is thin, almost like water.

On tasting it, a very strong aroma of expired chicken fills your mouth, leaving an unpleasant taste that lingers for minutes. An almost nauseating stench shoots back up into your nostrils.

The chocolate-flavoured essence is darker and thicker, and without the foam. It smells like very sweet chocolate with just a hint of chicken, and tastes almost like a slightly bland, cold shot of drinking chocolate.

There's a slight aftertaste of chicken, which like the pure version, lingers for several minutes and is only truly dispatched by a large glass of water and some strong minty gum.
