New Dubai offices for National Olympic Committee completed
DUBAI // The new offices of the National Olympic Committee have been completed in Al Nahda 1.
The Dh16.5 million building will accommodate 21 sports associations, all working to develop sport and sporting facilities in Dubai and across the UAE. Dubai considered bidding to host the 2020 Olympic Games, but announced last year it would pursue a bid in 2024 instead.
In a statement at the time Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, said: "We fully intend to place a bid once I am totally satisfied that we are prepared to host the greatest sporting event in history in a way that would add value to the Olympic Movement itself."
