iPhone 5 users will be able to get their hands on the new SIM cards required for their phones from tomorrow, as du rolls out the new technology.

The new iPhone 5 broke records in its launch weekend with sales above five million, Apple said this week, but the figures were below some forecasts and pressured the company's share price. The new type of SIM card that iPhone 5 users have been waiting for will be available at all du shops starting tomorrow.

Nano SIM cards are smaller than the conventional SIM cards currently available in the UAE and are the only type of SIM card compatible with the iPhone 5.

The SIM cards will be available for new du customers or existing customers who want to convert their old SIMs.

The process takes less than five minutes, according to a news release from the telecommunications company.

Du said it is the first in the UAE to offer the new technology.
