More than 50 abandoned cars seized in RAK Police crackdown
Daily patrols by officers target abandoned vehicles
Fifty-six abandoned vehicles have been seized in Ras Al Khaimah as part of an ongoing police crackdown launched earlier this month.
Officers said 10 patrols had been assigned to conduct daily checks in areas around Al Mamoura police station to identify cars left for long periods.
Where vehicles are suspected of being abandoned, police issue warning notices informing owners they have 10 days to either clean or move their car before officers impound it.
Two weeks ago, RAK police seized 31 abandoned vehicles in one area and placed warning notices on a further four.
