More than a quarter of a million people worldwide have benefited from Dar Al Ber Society projects during this year.

The projects included an Iftar programme which fed almost 280,000 people, as well as the Zakat Al Fitr scheme and the Eid Clothes project.

Dh2 million-worth of Iftar meals were distributed for free across Africa and Asia, while Zakat Al Fitr was distributed in 36 countries in collaboration with 52 foreign partners and five UAE embassies abroad.

Abdullah Al Falasi, Executive Director of Dar Al Ber, said they also contributed food baskets to vulnerable people worldwide.

"The Society spares no effort to provide the best ever services to indigent and low-income people.”

He said the projects were a success thanks to the dedication of philanthropists in the UAE "whose generous and kind gestures know no end.”
