Warmer weather is on the way, but the transition period is likely to be a wet one with more heavy rain forecast throughout Friday and Saturday across the UAE
On Thursday night, it rained in many parts of the country and at around 10pm in Abu Dhabi, with heavy rain over Al Shawamekh, Bani Yas and Khalifa City.

Light to moderate rain was also recorded over Sharjah, Al Ain and Umm Al Quwain, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.
The rain is expected to last sporadically until Saturday. Visibility will be reduced and it will be accompanied by rough seas and strong winds.

On Friday, it will also be dusty and cloudy over most areas.
Temperature will range inland between 26°C and 30°C during the day, and 18°C to 22°C at night. Winds will cause blowing sand over exposed areas and poor horizontal visibility.
The sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
The lowest temperature recorded over the country on Friday morning was 10.2°C in Jebel Jais at 6.45am.
