Men who stole Dh18,000 from Starbucks on Sheikh Zayed Road have jail terms halved

The men now face 6 months in prison followed by deportation

Two men who broke into a Starbucks coffee shop in Dubai and stole Dh18,000 had their jail sentences reduced from one year to 6 months.

At 6.30am on January 6, the manager of the Starbucks branch on Sheikh Zayed Road arrived to find the main door smashed in and the safe damaged.

The 24-year-old Yemeni and 28-year-old Uzbek defendants were arrested shortly after, said an Emirati police lieutenant.
