Manager acquitted of sexually assaulting employee
The man denied the charge at Dubai Criminal Court last August
A marketing manager sentenced to three months in prison for sexually assaulting a woman in his office has been cleared by Dubai Court of Appeal.
The 38-year-old defendant was accused by a woman, 28, of assaulting her on June 22 last year after she headed to his office in the Chinese cluster of Dubai International City for a work-related meeting.
The man denied the charge at Dubai Criminal Court last August, but he was convicted and sentenced to three months in prison to be followed by deportation.
“She was leaving the office before finishing the work we agreed on and we argued and she left. But I didn't touch her or do anything to her,” the defendant said in records.
He appealed the sentence and was acquitted by Dubai Court of Appeal.
