Man who exposed himself to women is jailed

The man drive around and stop women in the street to ask them for direction then expose himself

A man who exposed and touched himself inappropriately in front of two women in separate incidents told Dubai Court of Misdemeanours they merely caught him urinating.

According to court records, the Pakistani defendant, 35, was driving his car in Al Safa 1 on September 20 when he stopped a German woman who was jogging to ask for directions.

The woman, whose age was not disclosed in records, said that as she was giving the man directions, he suddenly exposed himself and touched himself inappropriately.

She said she screamed at him then called police but the man drove off.

Two days later, in the same area, the defendant stopped an Indian woman to ask for directions and repeated the same act. That woman also called police.

The women each provided police with a description of the accused who was arrested a few days later.

The two victims were called to identify the man at Bur Dubai Police Station.

The defendant denied the accusations during police questioning, saying the woman caught him as he stopped by the road to urinate.

During prosecution questioning, ahead of court, the man changed his plea and said he had done the same thing to a number of women and couldn’t help himself.

He was convicted of committing an act of public indecency by exposing himself to others and was sentenced to six months in jail to be followed by deportation.
