SHARJAH // A man was shot in the leg after getting into a fight with five friends, police in Khorfakhan on the east coast have confirmed.
Officers responding to a report of a gunshot found the victim, an Arab national, lying on the road early this morning. He was taken to Khorfakhan hospital for treatment.
Five Arab men who were involved in the brawl have been arrested.
Police are investigating where the gun used in the shooting came from.
