A man set fire to his family home and stabbed himself after a row with his father, Dubai Police said.
The 21-year-old torched the house, in the Al Warqa area of Dubai, after a dispute over his father marrying for a second time, investigations revealed.
Civil Defence and Police officers rushed to the scene and found a 57-year-old man and his wife, in her 30s, suffering from severe burns.
The man's son, who started the fire, was found lying found lying on the bathroom floor after stabbing himself. A bottle of fuel was placed next to him.
The suspect and his parents were taken to Rashid Hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred last week.
Police are still investigating the incident.
