A man who secretly filmed two female shoppers on his mobile phone at an Ajman mall has been fined Dh5,000.
The man, 28, filmed the Indian pair, both in their 20s, without their knowledge at China Mall when one of the women spotted him.
He was confronted by one of the women who grabbed his mobile phone from him, finding seven clips of her and her friends walking around the mall, filmed from several angles.
The woman kept hold of the phone and informed mall security. Police were then alerted.
The accused denied a charge of breaching the privacy of the two women when he appeared in court in Ajman but was convicted and fined.
The court also ordered his phone be confiscated.
