Man arrested for stabbing wife to death in Dubai car park, police say
The Indian faces a murder charge for the alleged killing in Al Quoz
A man stabbed his wife to death in a car park in the belief she was having an affair, police said.
The Indian, 42, was arrested on Tuesday after the incident in Al Quoz.
Earlier, officers found his 39-year-old wife, named by Indian media as C Vidya Chandran, dead outside her workplace with multiple stab wounds to her body. A passer-by found the body about 30 minutes after the attack.
CID and forensics examined the scene and an arrest was made few hours later.
Officers said the couple, from Kollam on Kerala's Malabar Coast, had a heated argument about an alleged affair.
During questioning on Tuesday, the husband admitted to stabbing his wife, claiming she had cheated on him with another man, police said.
He set out with a knife hidden in his clothes and the killing was premeditated, officers said.
The husband recently brought his wife to Dubai on a visit visa and she soon found a job.
He has been referred to public prosecutors to face a charge of premeditated murder.
