A fire broke out in a warehouse in Sharjah’s Industrial area last night.
Large black plumes of smoke were seen billowing from the burning building after the fire took hold just before 10pm.
It is not yet known what caused the blaze, which broke out in a furniture warehouse and spread quickly throughout the building as a result of flammable material, according to reports.
However, firefighters from Civil Defence headquarters, Samnan and Mina fire stations managed to bring the fire under control in less than five minutes and prevent it from spreading to other buildings.
No injuries were reported.
