Bollywood star is in town to promote her new drama, Heroine, in which she plays an actress at the pinnacle of her career.
Kareena Kapoor arrives in Dubai in style
DUBAI // She arrived two hours late but she arrived in style.
Flying into Jebel Ali via sea-plane, then over to the shore in a motorboat, and sashaying down the red carpet laid out on the blistering beach before making her way to an air-conditioned boat for a press conference on the waves, Kareena Kapoor made a dramatic arrival yesterday as she publicised her latest film.
Kapoor was in Dubai to promote the drama Heroine along with the director Madhur Bhandarkar and the production house UTV'S managing director Siddharth Roy Kapur. The trio made stops at various media outlets before their arrival at the press conference.
"The film has got glitz, glamour and style and that is what we will do in all the promotions around the world. They will all be in keeping with the vibe of the film," Kapur said.
Kapoor said that her role in the film - that of a Bollywood star at the pinnacle of her career - is one that she has dreamt of for a very long time.
After the press conference, the Heroine team moved on to a promotional event at Lamcy Plaza shopping mall, and then an afterparty in the evening in Downtown Dubai.
Heroine's release date in the UAE is Sept 20.
