Jobless man admits organising gambling on table game
An unemployed man has admitted to organising gambling in the Naif area at Dubai Criminal Court. MH, 28, from Bangladesh, was charged with setting up a game using a screwdriver, a belt and a plastic table for betting purposes.
The man told the court those who lost the game had to pay him money.
YM, an Emirati policeman, said that on May 30, he saw the defendant organising the game for several men. When he approached them, the men ran away and the Bangladeshi was arrested and his tools confiscated.
A verdict is expected on July 24.
