Jail for footballer who broke into Dubai brothel and sexually assaulted prostitutes

An Emirati football player and two friends who broke into a brothel carrying swords and knives and sexually assaulted four prostitutes are sentenced to two years in prison.

DUBAI // An Emirati footballer and two friends who broke into a brothel armed with swords and knives and sexually assaulted two prostitutes have been sentenced to two years in prison.

The footballer KS, 20, and his two Sudanese friends SA, 27, and AM, 26, broke into the brothel on December 12 last year and threatened the four Ethiopian women with their weapons, demanding they hand over their money and valuables.

They then demanded to have sex with two of the women, and when the women refused, they raped them.

“They then gathered us in one room and locked us up before they fled, but we had a spare key so we opened the door and chased them. We managed to take down their car’s plate number,” said one of the women.

The women then called police. However, they too were arrested and charged with prostitution.

At the Criminal Court AE, 24, LS, 24, KA, 23, and ST, 28, all denied the charge, but were found guilty. They were sentenced to two years in prison and will be deported after serving the terms.

The two Sudanese men will also be deported after serving their terms.
