DUBAI // A dramatic crash caused a minibus to flip over this morning, causing huge tailbacks on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Four people were injured in the accident, two of them seriously, a spokesman for Dubai Police said. All four have been taken to Rashid Hospital.
The bus was the only vehicle involved in the accident. "The minibus was driving too fast and turned over," the spokesman said.
The incident meant that hundreds of commuters from Dubai to Abu Dhabi were stuck in traffic.
"Classic mid week accident in Jebel Ali," wrote Twitter user Maya Kerbage. "Avoid if u can."
Unconfirmed reports suggested there was a second accident on the road involving a Peugeot and a G4S security van.
