A new Dubai culture spot celebrating the Quran will open to the public on Friday.

Quranic Park boasts more than 60 hectares of green space, featuring an Islamic Garden, an array of plants mentioned in the Quran, two dedicated children's play areas and a cave of miracles, which takes advantage of cutting edge technology to educate people of all ages about seven miracles told in the Islamic text.

The brand new visitor attraction, based in Al Khawaneej, is free to the public.

The park aims to showcase Islam to people of all backgrounds and beliefs in the spirit of inter-faith harmony.

As well as an Islamic garden, the haven of horticulture is also home to a desert garden and an Andalusian garden, as well as a cluster of solar trees inspired by Arabic and Islamic art and design.

As well as providing welcome shade from the sun, the hi-tech trees contain solar panels, outlets for charging mobile phones and Wi-Fi capabilities.

Dubai Municipality announced on twitter that the park will be opening its doors from 3pm on Friday.
