Emiratisation commitment: 60% of Enec’s 1,200 employees are Emirati
Sixty per cent of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation employees are Emirati.
Since its launch in 2009, the company has seen its staff grow from 64 employees to more than 1,200 today, all working to deliver nuclear power to the UAE by 2017.
“Enec is working to ensure Emiratis play a decisive role in the UAE’s nuclear energy industry, and we are proud that our rapid growth has been achieved while maintaining the organisation’s commitment to Emiratisation,” said Mohammed Al Hammadi, the chief executive.
The organisation’s ever-expanding workforce consists of more than 35 different nationalities.
“To achieve our objectives and deliver our project on time, Enec require a large and diverse group of talented individuals to drive our programme forward, including a mix of experienced professionals and fresh talent,” Mr Al Hammadi said.
Enec’s Energy Pioneers programme works to attract and develop Emirati science students, engineering graduates and experienced professionals, and provide them with an opportunity to join the UAE’s emerging nuclear energy sector.
