Dar Al Zain Festival kicks off in Al Ain

A performance by Emirati singer Mohamed Al Shehhi will be the big draw in Al Ain Friday as the crowds enjoy entertainment, shopping and food at the Dar Al Zain Festival.

The 10-day event at Al Ain Convention Centre, organised by Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism, kicked off on Thursday with a thrilling show from Arab superstar Myriam Fares.

In its first year, the festival includes 45 retail stalls, 30 kiosks and trucks serving food twenty interactive and educational shows for children including Iftah Ya Simsim, Looney Tunes and My Little Pony and the Glow Theme Tunnel and Maze – a celebration of light and colour.

Regional bands will be performing throughout the festival, including Harget Kart, Arnabeat, Carl & The Reda Mafia, and Adel Ibrahim while performances by Arab stars Balqees and Majid Al Mouhandis will be held on the last two days of the festival.
