The Burj Khalifa lit up in red, white and green on Monday to mark Oman's 49th National Day.
On Sunday, UAE Rulers sent congratulatory messages to Sultan Qaboos, the Ruler of Oman.
Omani National Day holidays for the public and private sectors will be observed on Wednesday, November 27 and Thursday, November 28.
Celebrations poured in from across the globe on social media, with buildings being lit up in Oman's neighbouring country, Saudi Arabia.
The first Emirati astronaut in space, Hazza Al Mansouri, paid his tributes to the nation on Twitter, calling Oman "a land of civilisation and peace".
He complemented it with a picture he captured when he was on board the International Space Station this year.
In Cardiff, Wales, local residents and students gathered in the centre of the city to celebrate Oman's National Day.
The British royal family have strong ties with the Sultan of Oman. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are due to travel to the country next month.
The Omani flag was found all over Instagram, with everyone from social media influencers to tour guides in the region sharing pictures to celebrate the day.
