Skydive to end breast cancer awareness month
Pink Caravan will organise a skydive on October 31 in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
A leading breast cancer awareness campaign in the UAE will organise a skydive event on October 31 to conclude its series of public awareness initiatives throughout the month.
The Friends of Cancer Patients initiative “Pink Caravan” will continue its mission to educate people about the importance of awareness in tackling breast cancer.
In honour of International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the final event, ‘Ready, Sail, Skydive’, will be held in partnership with Skydive Dubai, Nakheel, and the Zero Gravity beach club.
"A skydive is one of the most unforgettable ways to capture people’s attention, and that is what we want to do,” said Reem bin Karam, head of the Pink Caravan Ride Higher Steering Committee. “This brilliant act will not only symbolise our support for thousands of women facing breast cancer in the UAE, but it will also reinforce our ongoing efforts to educate the largest number of people on how to detect physical changes in their bodies through self-examination. I am asking UAE citizens and residents to take some time off their busy schedules and extend their support and solidarity to this noble cause, and join us, as we take a giant leap in our efforts to spread breast cancer awareness in the nation with this skydive.”
